NatureScope works in close cooperation with private companies, foundations, lenders, public authorities and other advisors to ensure their initiatives are truly nature positive. 

Companies 

NatureScope collaborates with companies, foundations and lenders that wish to ensure that their projects, plans and activities contribute to a nature positive development. We can help with contact and communication with authorities as well as carrying out any statutory environmental and nature impact assessments. If there are no legal requirements for nature assessment, we do nature due diligence. As a follow-up or a stand-alone service, we can also prepare plans for nature and biodiversity. 

Authorities

NatureScope can support authorities in working out their own environmental and nature impact assessments for initiatives that meet our screening criteria for projects, plans and activities. We can also prepare Natura 2000 assessments and assessments under the Water Framework Directive as well as initial screening and scoping.  And, we are well prepared  to contribute with quality assurance of the authorities' own work or nature and environmental assessments prepared by other advisors. 

Advisors

NatureScope has a strong ambition to work in close alliances with other smaller and larger nature and environmental advisors and freelance consultants. In addition to contributing expertise and helping to improve nature and environmental assessments, we are happy to participate in consortiums bidding for larger assignments, which include nature assessments, nature positive design development and nature planning. The goal is to become stronger together.

Interested?

NatureScope is a web-based consultancy that offers ample opportunities for remote work.

Visits to partners and fieldwork will be relevant from time to time. But as a general rule, the work will take place via efficient email exchange and frequent meetings on Teams.

Affiliation with NatureScope will generally be as a freelance consultant or through another consulting company.

Peter Forfang Sørensen 

I am the manager and founder of NatureScope. My efforts in preserving and enhancing nature and biodiversity are inspired by my previous work assignments:

• 10+ years experience in sustainable forestry, conservation of natural forests, site-adapted afforestation and forest certification in Denmark, the Baltics and the tropics.
• 10+ years experience in public administration and management of nature conservation cases, conservation areas, protected habitats and streams as well as nature and species registration, Natura 2000 planning, wetland restoration and EU-Life projects.
• 10+ years experience in environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, Natura 2000 assessments and assessments under the Water Framework Directive conducted for private companies and public authorities.

Through NatureScope, I wish to focus on the opportunities to protect, restore, and enhance nature and biodiversity by working together to make a real difference.
